Welcome to greencliff

Our home

Here on the North Devon coastline we wake up every morning to the sound of the sea and every evening the sun sets behind Lundy Island.

We live in a traditional Devon longhouse, and are surrounded by 12 fields totalling 85 acres. There are many traditional stone barns and a few huge cow sheds around the farmhouse, most of them pretty rickety. We also have a wind turbine which on windy days produces more than enough green energy for us.

Our hopes and dreams

Moving from our modern house in Aberdeen to a far south west corner of the UK has been our dream for a while, we have plans to rewild this small patch of countryside and invite native wild birds and animals to join us.

But first we need to fix some windows and stabilise the barns before they fall over.

Here and Now

Right now we are investigating our options for improving the stone barns, a couple are in danger of collapse so with an architect we are planning their rescue.

We also have a biodiversity baseline assessment underway and are working with a great ecologist and landscape architect on our strategy.
